If you are transitioning to a plant-based lifestyle, these Beyond Steak Tacos will be your new favorite vegan tacos.
When I first discovered Beyond Steak, I was on my transitioning journey and was looking for something that will get me through my meat cravings.
I watched and read countless reviews to see if it was worth purchasing. And with all the mixed reviews I was getting, I decided to purchase it myself and do a taste test.
No kidding, I was amazed after trying it. It is super delicious and reminds me of meat. It all comes down to how you season it.

Beyond steak is versatile and can be used in a variety of dishes.
Though I DO NOT recommend consuming it on a regular basis, due to the processing and seed oils, it is still a great way to slowly work your way out of consuming meat.
For these Beyond Steak tacos, I will show you how to season the meat in a way that will make you completely give up meat if you’re transitioning to a vegan diet.
So, without further ado, here is what you will need:
Ingredients for Beyond Steak Tacos
Beyond Steak Plant-Based Seared Tips: Many grocery stores that sell vegan meats sell this in the frozen section. I typically get mine at Walmart or Target. You don’t have to thaw the meat before cooking.

Oil: I use this to saute the vegan meat. My preferences for oils are usually avocado or olive oil. However, feel free to use any oil of your choice.
Tortillas: I typically use almond flour or corn, but any tortilla will work.
Seasonings: For this Beyond Steak, I like to use a combination of chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
Toppings: This is optional, but I bet we can all agree that the toppings you add also enhance the taco. Thus, for this recipe, I topped mine with jalapenos, diced tomatoes, diced red onions, fresh cilantro, avocado slices, and my favorite tahini dressing. Feel free to play around and add what you like.

How To Make These Beyond Steak Tacos
This recipe comes together in under 15 minutes, so if you are busy or dislike being in the kitchen, no worries, this won’t take long.
Follow these steps to ensure you achieve a great-tasting taco in no time:
Step 1: Prepare the Beyond Steak

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the Beyond Meat Steak Strips.
Sprinkle the chili powder, cumin, red pepper flakes, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper over the strips.
Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the strips are heated through and slightly crispy on the edges.
Step 2: Warm the Tortillas

While the Beyond Steak is cooking, warm the tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side or until they are soft and pliable.
Alternatively, you can warm them in the microwave wrapped in a damp paper towel for about 20-30 seconds.
Step 3: Assemble the beyond steak tacos

Place a few tips of the Beyond Steak on each tortilla. Top with jalapenos, diced tomatoes, diced red onion, avocado slices, and fresh cilantro.
Squeeze a lime wedge over each taco for a burst of fresh flavor. You can also add hot sauce or your favorite creamy dressing.
Serve the tacos immediately, and enjoy!

Expert Tips for the Perfect Vegan Tacos
If you seriously want to elevate the taste of your tacos, I recommend these tips.
Marinate the Beyond Steak: You can marinate your Beyond Steak with spices and a bit of lime juice to enhance the flavor profile, just as you would with real meat.
Use Fresh Ingredients: This will make a huge difference in the taste. Opt for ripe tomatoes and fragrant cilantro as your toppings.
Cook at the right temperature: I highly recommend preparing your vegan steak on medium-high heat until it is well-seared but not overdone. If you cook at lower temperatures, it might become too soft and not achieve that desirable charred texture.
