Like my other mocktail recipes with Sprite, this Blueberry Sprite Mocktail is super refreshing.

Since summer is three months away, I thought I would bring you guys back to my kitchen by showing you how I make this super easy summer mocktail recipe.

I made this using three simple ingredients, so you don’t need to go wild at the grocery store to find all the ingredients.

Most mocktail recipes I find when scouring the internet seem very complex and require a bunch of ingredients that aren’t available at my local grocery stores.

Thus, I kept this simple so that pretty much anyone (including a 5-year-old) can make it.

I promise, with how easy this blueberry sprite mocktail recipe is, you would be surprised it tastes so good.

Ingredients For Blueberry Sprite Mocktail

Sprite: I used Sprite Zero, which has zero calories and zero sugar because I’m currently trying to cut down on consuming too much sugar. However, it’s still sweet due to its aspartame, which is 10 times sweeter than sugar. Thus, I do not recommend consuming this on a regular basis. If you don’t have Sprite Zero, just use regular Sprite or sparkling water. It works just as great.

Blueberries: I chose to use fresh blueberries for this recipe. They are much better in terms of taste, blendability, and overall freshness. If you don’t have fresh blueberries, no worries; frozen will still work. But I recommend letting them thaw a bit before preparation.

Lemon juice: Lemon gives this drink a nice kick that we all need in a good mocktail. Lime will work as well if you don’t have lemon on hand.

Optional Ingredients For More Zesty-ness

Mint leaves: If you crave more ‘oomph’ in your drink, I recommend adding mint leaves or rosemary for that extra flavor. However, do not go overboard. Blueberries are slightly sour; too much mint will significantly affect the flavor profile.

Sparkling water: Although this blueberry Sprite mocktail calls for Sprite, as the name says, using sparkling water in place of Sprite will work just fine. If I use regular sparkling water, I often add a bit of sweetener to my mocktail to give it some taste and flavor, but this is totally optional and fully up to you.

Ginger: If you want a refreshing kick, adding some ginger will definitely take this drink to another level. If you do decide to use ginger, I recommend leaving out the lemon completely or using a smaller quantity than suggested.

Ice: This is optional. Add some ice if you use fresh blueberries and want a colder drink. If you’re using frozen blueberries, you can skip this.

How To Prepare

Preparation is just as quick and straightforward as ABC. Follow these steps to ensure you get a great-tasting blueberry sprite mocktail.

Step 1: Crush your blueberries

If you’re using fresh blueberries, crush them in a cup or cocktail shaker until it turns into a paste. If you’re using frozen blueberries, a high-powered blender would easily do the trick.

Step 2: Pour in your sprite

Squeezing lemon into the cocktail shaker and pouring Sprite into the cocktail shaker with blueberry and lemon mix.

After crushing your blueberries, add them to a cocktail shaker and squeeze in half a lemon. Next, pour in your sprite and cover your cocktail shaker.

Step 3: Shake and Serve your Mocktail

Gentle mixing of the blueberry sprite mocktail in a cocktail shaker.

Gently shake your cocktail shaker or use a spoon to stir the mixture. If you choose to shake it, I recommend slowly rotating it clockwise and anticlockwise. Do not shake vigorously to prevent CO2 bubbles from forming. Once your mocktail is well combined, pour it into a glass cup containing ice and serve. Feel free to garnish with some mint or rosemary leaves.

Other variations to consider

Add some oranges for an extra tangy flavor.

Like my hibiscus mocktail and coconut water mocktail, you can add some orange zest or juice to give this drink an additional taste that elevates the flavor profile.
